small town = big charm
When you live in New York you tend to get a little stir-crazy if you don't leave the city every once in awhile. Fortunately my husband and I decided to get the zip car and head out of town. I can't tell you how much I have missed singing in the car at the top of my lungs (don't worry I did plenty of that). The charming town of New Hope and Lambertville were our destinations. After a few stops we arrived at the most charming town ever, New Hope, PA located right off the Delaware River. My goal was some serious antique shopping, however much to my disappointment the town was mostly mom & pop shops with items right out of a catalog. After a charming but unsuccessful stroll we headed over the bridge to Lambertville (directly across the Delaware). My spirits were lifted when I found several small designer shops, one in particular caught my eye. Area & Co., it's a charming shop located in an old two story house with large plank floors and old architectural details. It had a Martha Stewart/Hamptons feel but chic and adorable all in one. I fell in love with this mirror and the paint color as soon as I walked in. I've always wanted to paint a room this color but never had the guts to, maybe one day when I get a study with floor to ceiling bookcases.
I LOVE these chairs...if only my tiny apartment was just a little bigger.
